Taipei Food Guide 5 : Fu Hang Dou Jiang (阜杭豆漿)

Hello.

Fu Hang Dou Jiang (阜杭豆漿), one of Taipei’s most famous breakfast spots.

This post is about a breakfast spot I visit frequently. Since it’s located right next to my office, I come here quite often, and I wanted to introduce it here.

I arrived around 7 AM, and it was already very crowded. After waiting for about 15 minutes, I was able to get inside and enjoy my meal.

I came with a colleague, and we ordered a variety of dishes.

Do you see the paper bag in the photo? I forgot to take a picture, but inside is 甜酥餅, a sweet and crispy pastry.

Here is one of the restaurant’s signature dishes, 鹹豆漿. “鹹” means “salty,” and “豆漿” refers to soy milk, so together, it means savory soy milk soup. This dish was incredibly delicious! As a Korean, it reminded me of sundubu (soft tofu stew). I really enjoyed it.

This is 燒餅, a type of baked flatbread. It’s filled with green onions and eggs, making it even more flavorful.

And this one is a plain soy milk (豆漿). It has a slightly sweet and nutty taste.

If you get the chance, I highly recommend visiting!
